I’m the mother of 11 year old Abdul Roberts. We reside in the Western Cape, Helderberg area.
Abdul was diagnosed last year July with chrons disease, hepatic sclerosis and cholangitis. He also went for many other tests eg. Liver biopsy ,MRE, MRI and upper and lower scope.
He received a blood transfusion due to low red blood cells and severe anemic. He was admitted to red cross hospital for 4 months and was taken to isolation for bacterial infections .
Abdul is currently back home and still gets admitted to day ward for his monthly treatment via IV called Infliximab due to previous reaction to medication such as, Mesalazine, Cosmofer and azathioprine.
He is daily on a high dosage steroids and a very strict diet .He’s diet consist of low Fibre and Lactose free products .
The funds raised will help get the foods Abdul needs for his diet.
Funds will also be used for our trips from Helderberg to red cross hospital.
It’s tough times and Abduls diet is compulsory on a daily basis for him to eat the foods he’s supposed to and we can’t meet the requirements…
