A very high number of children in Snakepark, Soweto are suffering from cerebral palsy due to a badly maintained mine dump next to the community.
Every year in the holiday season Bench Marks Foundation calls for donations in support of these children and their parents.
It costs R15 000 a month to support a child with cerebral palsy. Most people in this community earn less than R3500 per month.
