My Father was diagnosed with Melanoma in October 2015. He had surgery and was given Intron A for a year. In December 2016 a pet/ct scan showed the melanoma spread to the lymph nodes under his left armpit. He had surgery again and went for radiation. In March 2017 he went for another pet/ct scan. The Melanoma had spread to his brain with 5 lesions. He then received radiation and went for an MRI scan. It showed that the 5 lesions did not grow but there are 10 more lesions. The Dr gave him chemotherapy and sent him for an MRI scan again. Now He has 33 lesions and his medical aid benefits are exhausted. The oncologist wants to give him Yervoy chemotherapy, 200mg every 21 days. The cost of one vial is R 192 229-70c. He is in desperate need of funds to pay for the treatment.

It has been a very long journey for him and us as a family. We are at a stage where we are forced to try and get help from others. He is such a strong and humble man, who is very much loved by his family. Our wish is to try and help him get this life-saving medication.
