Hi.
I am a 19 year old girl who needs money to go to college. Unlike most parents, who put away money for their kids to go to college when my parents got divorced all those plans kind of went out the door and we struggled our whole lives just to get by.
My dad doesn’t live with us and moved to another country and we have no contact with him and my mom is a teacher with minimum government wages and she isn’t even a permanent teacher either. So you understand why I can’t ask them for help.
Honestly, I never thought I would make it out of High School, but with a lot of hard work and perseverance, I managed to finish High School and decided what I want for my future. I want to study. And travel one day when I’m qualified.
Sadly, my family does not believe in me or going to study, so my first choice was a student loan. Paying back a loan takes a very long time and interest is crazy high. I’ll be in debt for years and years (maybe around 10 years) before I can pay it back, and they require another person’s details to stand in for you if you can’t pay the bank back, which I also don’t have. As no one is willing to stand in for me.
I am willing to work hard and follow my passions and do what I love no matter who believes or doesn’t believe in me. I know that this is what I have to do.The college I need to attend requires a lot of money really abruptly because they provide all the assets and tools we need to use in class and the payment needs to be done for the duration of the time that we study which is about 6 months. Hence why I’m here.
I honestly would appreciate anything towards my college fund and my future.
