Greetings to all. My name is Masithembe enzo Luhlabo. I was born and raised in Cape town. I’m a singer voice couch and pianist or keyboard player. I’ve been touring around south Africa and a little bit of Europe and Dubai with my band and that was the most amazing experience in my life.
Every time when I’m back home I used to do galas and exhibitions to take the youth off the streets to keep them busy, that was very helpful a lot some of them, they are doing very good musically and singing. There’s a gospel choir called Joyous celebration some of them are singing and working for them. GOD has been good.
In 2020 when the Covid hit we were coming back from Spain, we landed in South Africa in January 2020 and we didn’t know that the Covid was going to be like this. In March South Africa and the world got shutdown with lockdown and in May I got infected with Covid. I almost lost my life and four of my band members died. I was so sad, but I’m still here and the dream is still alive by the grace of GOD.
Now I’m sitting at home, it’s been 2yrs no travelling for me, but thinking about the project that I always wanted to do is just travelling was keeping me busy.
I’m starting this project of mine called Community youth arts development, where I will be teaching and training the youth how to play piano, singing and other art work. It’s like a music academy. As I can see the talent and potential in my hometown but they busy doing drugs, alcohol abuse, killing each other and creating gangs unnecessary its painful I want to help them again. I need your help so much I need a keyboard or a grand piano to start this project my keyboard is old not even playing other keys. As 2022 starting I want to start as soon as possible, even the community is very excited about this, them knowing my work that I did it before.
