We currently have 6 incredibly talented dancers and 2 qualified teachers from the Springwood Dance Academy that have been selected to go on a dance tour to New York this year November.
We have been trying to do a substantial amount of in-house fundraising, and trust us it has not been easy…so that is why we are now taking this approach and hoping that it is a success.
This is an incredible opportunity for these young ladies and they are super excited to have been given this once in a lifetime opportunity, which they so very well deserve.
These girls have been dancing for many years together and given up so much of their time. They are dedicated, passionate and basically live, dance and breathe dance.
They have danced in many and have won many competitions. They have been invited on a few occasions to dance at weddings, partake in prestigious show events, and take part in all dance competitions whenever possible.
These young ladies all still attend school and to still put in the many hours that they do to push themselves is truly incredible. Most of these ladies have chosen dance as their career path and to get the experience and exposure they can in New York will just be wonderful.
Whilst in New York they will attend 2 classes every day for the 14 day period that they are in New York. They will attend some prestigious dance studios and get to dance with well-known choreographers and experience the incredible dance life in New York.
It is every little girl’s dream to get the chance to dance on stage in the “BIG APPLE”, and these young ladies have been given that exact opportunity and we are trying our utmost best to try and subsidies these young ladies and turn their dream into reality.
We are pleading with anyone that would like to support our girls, PLEASE do so. These dancers really deserve to be given this possibly once in a lifetime opportunity, which they have worked incredibly hard for and would really appreciate the support from their home Country. This is their dream, and everyone I am sure has and still has dreams. PLEASE make this their dream.
