The Federation of Dance Drill, Cheerleading and Majorettes of South Africa (FDDCMSA), a registered NPO, will be competing at the annual International Association of Majorettes (IAM) Championship in 2023.
Quiwin Maasdorp has been chosen as one of the athletes in South Africa to participate at the
International Championships which will be held in Croatia, Europe. We are extremely proud of him
for all the hard work and determination he put into this sport despite the circumstances he faces.
Quiwin Maasdorp started his Majorette Career in 2021, and has grown tremendously ever since. Quiwin Maasdorp was awarded his Provincial Colours in 2021 and shortly thereafter he received his National Colours and was chosen to form part of the National team of athletes to participate in
Croatia.
As motivated and hardworking as Quiwin Maasdorp is, hard work and motivation can only get him up to a certain point. Sadly, the reality we face is that his parents are in no state able to afford the costs of the trip to Croatia. Each athlete is responsible for raising the fees associated with the tour. He will need to raise R36000 in order for him to join the National team and compete at the IAM International Championship in Croatia.
We would love to make his dream come true to travel to explore this beautiful world while doing the sport he so dearly loves. We would truly appreciate it if you could financially assist him.
