Hi everyone, my name is Nicole. I aim to pursue a PhD in Bioinformatics next year. I have supervisors and a project that will continue from my M.Sc. I have isolated proteins that can kill TB and will figure out what they are and how they work in my PhD. My group seeks to discover alternative treatments for TB that are more effective against multi-drug resistant strains. I was recently diagnosed with generalized dystonia, which keeps me from working efficiently in the laboratory.

So, I am hoping to take my career into an alternate direction, and I need this PhD to become a professional in the bioinformatics field. I hope to contribute to the amelioration of the TB burden our world faces throughout my career. Any contribution will be highly appreciated. I will acknowledge anyone who contributes to my PhD thesis.
