R0 of R50 000 raised

WHO ARE WE?

The Hub of Knowledge (THK) is a non-profit company that assists schools with e-lessons in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) which is part of the Geography curriculum from Grade10, 11 and 12.  We are currently working with 14 schools in the Ekurhuleni Metro, and 2 schools in the Johannesburg Metro.

OUR CAMPAIGN

Through the spirit of “Thuma mina” by our president, Mr. Ramaposa, we would like to invite Grade 12s from 3 township schools to a GIS Awareness day, where they will be taught how to track, collect geographical information using GPS devices.  A treasure event will be at O.R. Tambo precinct, Waterville, Gauteng.

WHAT DO WE WANT TO ACHIEVE

This will help the Grade 12 learners to understand the value of using GIS technology, help them prepare for their Geography exams towards the end of the year and expand their knowledge in the field of Geomatics.

REWARD FOR OUR SUPPORTERS

Your help will be much appreciated to lend a helping hand in exposing our young learners to the technology that is only available to the most privileged.

We will be giving a shout out to all our supporters on our social media and other platforms where this event will be published.

Thank you.
