HACK THE CAPE TOWN WATER CRISIS – GOAL R40 000

R100 of R40 000 raised

The Cape Town Science Centre is partnering with Stop, Reset, Go, to host a Hackathon, to bring us, as citizens together, along with a global community to hack (brainstorm to solve) our water crises and to look at what we can do to prepare for the potential Day Zero.

We have an incredible selection of speakers who will discuss a wide variety of water-related subjects.  Our exhibitors have an array of bright technologies and innovations to showcase.  Science fun activities are available for the kids. And of course the hackathon on a range of subjects that one may join, either at the event itself or as part of an ongoing dialogue that will be open for the next year.  The most promising ideas will enjoy the support of SAREBI who will incubate these ideas into potential business ventures.

As Stop, Reset, Go is comprised of volunteers who donate their time and energy to support and create projects that are designed to have a positive impact in the community, your support towards this event will be hugely appreciated.  The funds will be used to cover costs of equipment as well as to film the event so that it may be shared with various online platforms and thus be a resource to other cities and countries that are in the grip of water crises.

The CTSC will issue a tax receipt for all donations of R100 or more. This can be submitted as a tax-deductible expense with your annual tax return in terms of Section 18A of the Income Tax Act of South Africa

Thank you, thank you, and thank you!
