HELP PLACE A PUP – GOAL R50 000
Place A Pup Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre was opened in June 2018 as a registered non-profit organisation devoted to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abandoned, abused and neglected puppies.
We are based in Johannesburg South Africa, and WE NEED YOU, we are looking for international sponsors to help promote sterilization.
Place A Pup doesn’t cage any puppy and believes all animals have the right to run, have space and express themselves. Kennel stress can be detrimental to the immune system of an animal and creates unwanted behavioral issues.
Place A Pup has a Right to Life policy, which means that we do not put animals to sleep unless they are suffering, and it is in the best interest of that animal. Instead, we love and care for each and every one of our pups that come into our care until we find them a forever home; no matter how long it takes!
Place A Pup does all this without any government or municipal funding and survive on the generosity of the animal-loving public, as well as what we can generate through our own small ventures such as our pet shop, vaccination days, puppy daycare, market days, events etc. So, whether you donate, sponsor, make use of our daycare and shops, you know your support is going straight to all our rescue “babies”.
Place a pup needs sponsors to save more lives!
They need your help!
If not for us, then for them! These pups rely on us to change their lives, to stop the neglect and to bring love and care into their lives.
Place a pup reaches out to the community to assist with sterilization as well as vaccinations. Our aim is to reduce the spread of puppy diseases as well as breeding.
Place a pup needs you more than ever.
Place a pup is in a real pickle during the festive season. Unfortunately, with people going away we are left without donations and adoptions this makes it very hard to cope from December to February. Last year we took out a loan which we are still paying off just to get through those 3 months. This year we are not able to take out another loan.
We at place a pup love care and rehabilitate puppies ongoing. At any given time, we have 50-80 puppies.
Place a pup needs serious help. We never say no to any pups sick or not, we took in 20 pups from another rescue with the belief that they were vaccinated and well but when they arrived some of the pups were dying and needed resuscitation. We work weeks and weeks on end to keep these pups alive.
We held the dying ones and let them know they were wanted and are very loved, we cuddled and medicated the sick ones every day for 3 weeks. 11 out of the 20 made it but sadly our vet bills are astronomical.
Place a pup is fearing that if we don’t find a sponsor for the rent for 3 months and food for 3 months, we fear we may have to close down which is something we really don’t want to do. We are one of the only rescues who specializes in puppies and saving them.
I’m not sure how you guys could help but I sure hope there is some way you can assist.
Not sure if your company could sponsor a small amount towards the festive season. If everyone does a little bit I’m sure we could make it. I’m at my wits end, I can’t eat, I can’t sleep and I’m so worried about losing these babies.
Our rent on the plot is R15500 a month, water and lights is R3500 and we use up almost 1000kg of food a month.
Please 🙏 🙏 please I know times are tough, but we really don’t want to close we are doing all sorts of events and markets to make a bit of money to hopefully keep place a pup open.
Place a pup is a small group of us who believe that all animals have rights, and we constantly fight for them. We sterilise all dogs we come across even our pups.
I have been extremely unwell over the last year and a bit with being admitted to hospital more times than being at home and I haven’t been able to get out there like I used to and get us the funds we need. I’m trying to get better but it’s taking a while.
I hope with my whole heart we can get assistance.
