KZN YOUTH ORCHESTRA MAURITIUS TOUR – GOAL R1 054 000
The KZN Youth Orchestra is a non-profit organisation that is represented by young, talented musicians from all over the province. It has been the premier orchestra for young musicians since 2003. The primary aim is to develop musical talent in young people with a special focus on uplifting deserving youth who have limited means.
Towards the end of June 2018 the orchestra, consisting of 47 musicians, will be touring in Mauritius and collaborate with the Conservatoire de Musique Francois Mitterand, where they will perform combined musical items with the students from the Conservatoire. The tour will last 8 days and will include concerts, workshops and development activities. For most of our young musicians, this will be the first opportunity for them to take part in an international event.
