ONE ACTION, ONE LOVE – R 12 000
I am writing this letter as a proposal to the relevant parties and facilities as a plea for assistance in terms of sponsorship/donations for the community work project. I am placed at Age in Action for my social work fourth year practicum. Then, Age in action placed me in one of the community-based organizations that they work with called Balerato community based care organisation located at Ipopeng location in Rocklands.
Age in Action is a developmental organisation that strives to uphold the rights and dignity of older persons in collaboration with other stakeholders. Age in Action is a voluntary association, a Non-profit Organisation in terms of Section 1 (1) of Act 71 of 1997, which aims to carry out a public purpose of caring for the needs of older persons as a purpose for NPOs.
Age in Action offers the following services:
Provides the older persons with training programmes for social health, skills to alleviate poverty, training programmes for recreational activities and physical exercise, assist them with managing their money if neglect has been detected, and protects them from being abused. Please provide them with any donations when available.
Challenges faced in the organisation:
The organisation has no adequate facility and equipment that the Balerato community-based care organisation members can utilize for their daily activities. The organisation needs to have a venue to perform their activities.
I am humbly requesting donations which can be in the form of money or building materials, chairs, containers, and tables, which will assist in building an adequate facility for the organisation, and buying materials needed and equipment/resources that they will utilize to complete their daily activities.
