My name is Trista and I am 11 years old. When I was born, 28 February 2007, I had a murmur on my heart, but that closed. It was later discovered I have asthma, I was only 18 months old. My mom and dad took me to a paediatrician and she diagnosed me. I was placed on all kinds of meds – some were good and some was bad for my health.
I was at the dentist every 6 months to go for a clean as soon as I got my milk teeth. In a space of 6 months when I was 7 years old, I lost all my permanent molars. My mom was mad at the dentist and stop taking me to a dentist. She googled and found out my molars were known as chalk teeth. Being so young on medication it damaged my teeth under the gums.
This year my mom’s friend told her about a dentist at Melomed and she is so great and made me understand so much. I have to remove my molars, my mom’s medical aid will cover the procedure but not the anaesthetist, *Sad face* The anaesthetist wants cash of R2500 because he is private so that the doctor can take out x4 big permanent molars.
Please can you help my mom pay the anaesthetist so the dentist can take my bad broken teeth out and fix my other chalky teeth.
Thank you
