In 2014, Makhosi Luthuli was diagnosed with Lymphatic Cancer. Luthuli who played for The South African Senior Women’s National team from 1998 – 2005, needs financial support to help pay for cancer treatments. Luthuli is struggling to work in the sport due to cancer disfiguring her face. The former Banyana Banyana Midfielder earned 48 Caps for the National Team and is now faced with a life-changing disease.
We call on all football fans to unite together and offer assistance to Makhosi, who is still working as a soccer development coach in Durban, despite living with this condition which affects her breathing and communication.
