From as early as 5, if you asked Francois what he wanted to become one day, he said what many young South African boys would say ” a Springbok rugby player”. When he started gr1 that is all he wanted to do was play rugby. Today at the age of 17, this is still his dream and his passion. He was offered a rugby scholarship last year and these last few months have been such a journey for him, after lots of hard training, dedication, sweat and sometimes tears a part of his dream has finally become reality.
In the beginning of October this year he participated in the Rhino sevens tournament held at VUT in Vanderbiljpark and was chosen as one of the SA Rhino’s Sevens Team which will be representing SA in Dallas Texas next year. Now here comes the problem and the reason for me doing this, the tour costs are R35 000 and unfortunately it’s R35 000 more than I have. If anybody/company would be able to help us make our son’s dream come true we will be eternally grateful.
