In November 2017, my wife was retrenched. She struggled to find a job again. In the beginning of January, she managed to find a job. We were so happy and grateful. On the morning of the 3rd day working there, she was informed by her boss that she was not needed anymore. Later that day she received the sad news that her father has passed away. She was completely devastated.
Due to medical reasons, her father lived in Cape Town and we live in Gauteng. Because my wife is not working I cannot get her to Cape town for the funeral. I feel so helpless.
