My name is Thabo Radebe, I run a Children’s Home, Called Dorah’s Ark Children’s Home and Place of Safety. The orphanage was run by my grandmother who passed away in 2017. I had to continue with her dream to make a positive change in people’s lives. The Centre takes care of vulnerable and orphaned children. Our only struggle is helping older children who don’t qualify to stay at the Centre, because of their age, but they have no one to help them.

We started a campaign called Handy Kidz, where we teach them skills on how to make furniture out of wood pallets. The project has not taken off the ground because we do not have the proper equipment and enough money to buy pallets. My dream is to see a lot of these kids coming to the Centre to learn the skills, and we as the Centre plan to administer the sales of the furniture so that these kids can earn money and take care of others. We have potential clients in our community, that have agreed to buy from us to help us help the children.

Your contributions would be greatly appreciated.
