Tyrone suffered a stroke in 2016 at the age of 46. This caused him to lose some of his memory and also changed his whole personality. Damage to the brain can do that – and with much perseverance, he has managed to find a way to calm his temper by handcrafting items out of reclaimed wood and other items he finds lying around. Tyrone has been unable to work as his disability is permanent. He receives a small state pension (1600) which barely covers his medication and he has no income on which to live. I give him a small amount of an R1000 per month, to help him pay the balance of his medication.
In order to supplement his income, he started making a few pieces of decorative garden ornaments, etc. unfortunately, he has run out of wood and other pieces with which to continue his work. We’re looking for – donations of wood, metal, woodworking and carving tools (we really need a vice) wire, chisel set, stencils, paint and brushes etc. – so that he can continue to make some beautiful, inspired pieces to decorate people’s homes – with what he calls “pieces of me”
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.
