Faeez Van Doorsen is an out-of-work South African writer seeking help with getting his first book published. Over the past two and half years, Faeez has made life-saving connections with people who could easily have turned their heads from his struggle with crippling Major Depressive Disorder and unemployment, but instead chose to envelop him in a quilt stitched from always surprising amounts of grace, compassion and kindness, thereby willing him to bring alive the full extent of his writing gifts as a potential palliative for his condition.
As both a tribute to those who have walked this road with him and as a means of creeping out from the doldrums of financial difficulty, Faeez is calling upon the goodness and charity of his fellow citizens as he attempts to do what many would think impossible: to defy the darkness of his disability and produce a book that brings joy and laughter to all those who come to own it.
Despite or, perhaps, because of his illness, Faeez sees the potential for a good belly laugh in practically everything he encounters. His Facebook posts, much to his endless surprise, have been received with warmth, goodwill and loads of memorable exchanges with friends he has come to realize he cannot live without.
Although a third of the book is already completed, Faeez requires support with further research and development, as well as possible self-publishing and marketing.
Please help him.
