Connie is an amazingly talented swimmer who swims for Infinity Swimming Academy. She recently won 7 events at the Nelson Mandela Bay Swimming Championships and after this event is now ranked in the Top 3 in South Africa in her age group for 4 events namely the 50m and 100m backstroke and the 50m and 100m butterfly. She is 16 years old and an extremely hard worker.
Due to lack of funding, she is unable to travel to some big competitions in the country which would give her exposure as well as amazing racing experience. I believe that she has the potential to reach the Olympics if she has the support financially. I am her coach and in the 12 years that I have been coaching can honestly say that she is one of the toughest young ladies I have ever come across.
With your backing, I believe that she can make it to the top and do South Africa proud in the swimming pool.
