HAWK is a Non-Profit Company with an initiative to get the local township people of Riverlands, Chatsworth and surrounding areas (Western Cape) involved in providing better care for their animals & themselves through participation within the community with the help of supporters.
HAWK, founded by Andre Verbiest works in conjunction with V-Paws (rescue org’s) in order to network, rehabilitate, rescue and educate. It is about working together in the interest of the animals.
Our motto is “Joint Participation for, by and in a community – For the wellbeing of animals and humans.”
We rely solely on donations from the public. Every little bit counts to the animals and humans who don’t have much.
Help needed please:
Anyone that could please help, 2 of our deep freezers is not working properly, that equals to 2 days food going to waste. Would anyone be able to repair them or donate towards repairs or good second-hand ones? Remember HAWK does not have a vehicle at the moment. We have not had a running vehicle for over 7 months.
Or should you know of an individual or company that could sponsor us with a proper running bakkie with a canopy as we need to take furkids to SPCA for sterilizations.
We have found an old well on the property which does contain water, it looks like we have a high water table. We need preferably a diesel sump pump to check how sustainable it would be. And a 5000ltr water tank to pump into. We have sent a water sample in to check for bacterial loads. Now to build the purification unit and a tank….and we are in a position to help others in need with our water tanker trailer.
Any help with the above would be most welcome. It’s for our 296 fur kids.
