Sadly, I was diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer which has spread to the bone.
As of May of this year, I started with chemo, which had taken everything out of me. At once stage, I was in the hospital every ten days. I was bedridden for months until I started taking some medicine from overseas now I am slowly regaining strength. I have suffered massive muscle wasting and currently only weigh 39kgs. I still can’t do much I can’t walk far or sit in the sun for long or even swim, things I used to love doing. Of course, my running Is also no longer. This journey has been a very humbling experience and has made me realize you cannot take even the smallest thing for granted. I am currently still taking chemo, but in tablet form for now. The Dr wants to start hardcore Iv again just before Christmas.
I am appealing to all of you to please help me continue to get the medicine I need from overseas that is helping build me up and regain my strength. I have tried loads of things from South Africa, but nothing thus far has proven as effective as the medicine from overseas. It is of course very costly the shipping is the really expensive part sometimes more than the actual product and of course the Rand dollar exchange rate does not help things. Sadly, my boss also told me he no longer wants me working for him as I have not been reaching sales targets, so it has put a financial strain on us as well since we depended on my salary. No one will or wants to hire me either in my condition so I really need to get well again. I have given myself a goal of six months to be back on my feet again and this amount of money I am requesting it enough to buy medicine until then. I will, of course, probably have to take some of it for the rest of my life, but once I am able to work again, I can help get us out of debt and pay for the medicine.
I also have three beautiful children who depend on me being around for them. Two of them have lost their Dad nine years ago. So it is vitally important to be around for them and of course, my little boy who doesn’t understand why mommy is sick.
