Shortly after bringing in the New Year I got that devastating call. My parent’s home had gone up in flames. An illegal flare landed on their home in Bridgetown, Athlone, leaving their house completely destroyed.
My parents Vivian and Keith Rose lost everything. They lived with my brother and sister-in-law along with their two young daughters aged three and five months. They too only have the clothes on their backs. The Rose Family plays a pivotal role in their community often feeding hungry kids and families daily. Keith Rose was also one of the founding members of the Bridgetown neighbourhood watch 20 years ago and is still actively involved in community safety meetings. My parents also assist in an organisation called Horizon which helps underprivileged kids.
We are appealing to all to help with rebuilding this lighthouse within the Bridgetown community.
Let’s give the Rose family a new home, which will allow them to continue to give actively and serve their community once again.
