My name is Brandon Samuels, I am 19 years old and I live in Mitchell’s Plain. I matriculated in 2016 and am currently working part-time, but still make time to do my Powerlifting Training after work. This truly is my passion. I am a hardworking and dedicated person. Once I have my mind set on something, I go for it with all the strength I have.
I won the Western Province Powerlifting Championships in 2016 and even Qualified for the South African Powerlifting Championships, but had to decline it because of financial problems. I, then, won the Western Province Powerlifting Championships in 2017 and, again, qualified for the South African Powerlifting Championships.
This year, 2018, I got the opportunity to finally represent Western Province at the SA Powerlifting Championships in Potchefstroom and came first place in the 66KG Junior Division. I also broke the Deadlift Record in my division by deadlifting 230KG. So in June, I have been given the opportunity to represent South Africa at the IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championship in Calgary, Canada. I believe I have the potential to succeed at the highest level in this sport if I am able to generate the funds to represent my region/country at the next Competition. Because of my age, I still have a lot to offer the field of Powerlifting.
My dream has always been to represent South Africa in a Powerlifting Competition. The only constraint I have is financial. It will mean the world to me to be given the opportunity to do so. If you can sponsor me financially or in any way possible, please help me make my dream a reality. Anything sponsored would be appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to form part of this journey.
Kind Regards
Brandon Samuels
