R1 203 of R100 000 raised

Zoë Leigh Engelbrecht was admitted to Tygerberg Hospital in July 2017, diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. She developed lung problems, and in November 2017 she passed away.

Whilst being in the hospital, she always had a smile. She loved singing, dancing (ballroom and liturgical dancing), karate and modelling. She achieved so much in her 13yrs.

Like her principal said at her funeral “We must continue to live the Zoë legacy”. She was looking forward to starting her high school career at Elsies River High School.

We had no knowledge that our time with her would have been so short. As a family, we were not prepared for her death.

It is very hard for my family, especially her dad and her 3 siblings.

As you can imagine with an illness like that, the hospital bills just kept on piling up. Unfortunately, we are not financially well-off, and now we have been handed over by the debt collectors. From our side we are trying our best to raise the funds, we are planning to host a fundraiser, in hope of some financial assistance.

We also ask if you could please keep Caleb Marinus in your prayers. He and Zoë belonged to the same church.

Thanking you in advance for your support.

Regards
Charlene Engelbrecht
