My son Jacques Britz is 11 years old. He is very excited to have recently been chosen to represent South Africa as part of the National Team in both the African Continental Championships in Benoni in August 2022, as well as the WAKO World Championships in Italy in September 2022.
Jacques has been doing kickboxing for 2 years and has a great passion for the sport. Jacques has represented Cape Town Kickboxing at the South African Championships in Pretoria in 2021 and has recently represented Western Province in the South African Championships in Mossel Bay where he received a gold and silver trophy for his points and continuous fights.
He had 12 competitors in his weight category. Jacques has an incredible love of sport and participates in a variety of sporting activities including rugby, cricket, soccer and athletics. He is in the A team for all his sports and has broken the school high jump record for 2 consecutive years.
Jacques is not only a good sportsman but also a top academic student. As a teacher at the local school in Melkbosstrand, I am humbly asking for your financial assistance to help me to get my son to the World Championships.
It costs a large amount to get him there and I will not be able to do so without your help. Jacques’ dream is to be able to attend the Olympics in the future and I don’t doubt for a minute that he has the talent to do so. I am a Christian and trust that God has given Jacques his talent, as well as this fantastic opportunity for a reason.
Since his very first fight Jacques has always fought with the verse Philippians 413 on all his fighting gear. My son enters the fight with the confidence and belief that his heavenly father is helping him and protecting him with every punch and kick. As his mother I have not missed 1 of his fights and I don’t intend to do so for his upcoming fights either. He will always have my full support.
Before each fight I remind him to pause and remember to let God’s peace flow through him. I trust that God will place it on your heart to help me to give my son this incredible opportunity. We hope that you will all watch his fights if they are streamed and that you will cheer him on as he fights his heart out.
We have opened an account for Jacques’ trip to Italy where all funds received will be used for his flights, accommodation, insurance and equipment needed.
