Hi, my name is Kaylah Abrahams and I am a 24-year-old, guesthouse manageress, who loves learning about different cultures and beliefs, and has an undying desire to see as much of the world as I can. I want to grow and expand intellectually and soulfully.
I have recently come across the term Fernweh – and I “suffer” from it.
Fernweh: The ache for distant places; the craving for travel.
After 3 years of studies in Travel & Tourism Management, and 2 years of managing at a wonderful guesthouse in Cape Town, I have finally paid off my R30 000 student loan, and the ache for travel has increased by a million. It has always been a dream of mine to travel as much as I can, and I have been presented with an opportunity to do a bit of travelling in May.
On the 15th May 2018, I will be embarking on an adventure to Bali, Indonesia for ONE week. And it just so happens to be my birthday month too. This will be the first of many solo trips that I hope to explore over the years ahead.
Last year, I was given the opportunity to see a bit of England, and I can honestly say, I have felt more myself than ever … and you know what they say, once the travel bug bites, there is no known antidote, and I shall be happily infected for the rest of my life!
I am raising money to travel abroad, and I am already SO grateful for this opportunity & I will be SO grateful to those who choose to support me. So I’m asking you, my lovely, wonderful family, friends, acquaintances and strangers to help me out. Any small donation would help me so much and I’d be so grateful and indebted to you.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
Forever grateful
Kaylah.
