John-Wayne was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome early in February, after being sick for some time, not knowing what was wrong. He has been very sick since then, it has been so severe that he already has had a kidney biopsy, confirming that the kidneys are very sick. We do not have medical aid and have paid everything cash, our funds are now dried up. Without treatment, he can have acute kidney failure, chronic kidney disease, fluid overload, atherosclerosis and related heart disease, infections, Renal vein thrombosis, malnutrition, congestive heart failure, and then ultimately death. He was not allowed to go to school due to the risk of infection and he has had to leave his schooling career completely. His sport and everything he enjoyed doing has been taken away because he is too sick.
His medication is as follows, prednisone 8 daily, Azamune 50mg 2 daily, co-pritor 1 daily, Echotrin 1 daily, Omez 20mg 1 daily, Aspavor 20mg 1 at night. He now has high blood pressure and cholesterol because of this. We cannot afford the hospital and medication bills. It is not in our nature to beg, but now we need all the help we can get. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
John-Wayne is a bright, bubbly, positive young man with his whole life ahead of him. This disease has taken so many things away from him yet his smile never fades.
