Lyema is a 10-year boy with Cerebral Palsy who attends the Vukuhambe Special School in Mdantsane, East London. Lyema is wheelchair bound and has always had to use a manual chair as this is all that has been available to him, due to financial restraints. He is reliant on people to push him around in his wheelchair and at this stage in his life, growing into a young man, he would desperately like to be more independent and own an electric wheelchair in order to get around easily by himself.
The new wheelchair is going to cost R44,000.00 and we ask for assistance with donations in order to reach this target.
Lyema is a truly wonderful child who has certain physical limits in life. These limits can be pushed to a certain degree and allow him the ability and freedom of living his life to the best that he can. To be able to keep up with his friends in the playground is such a small thing, and with your help, we can help in Lyema’s growth and make his dream come true.
Thank you.
