Four years ago, I met the love of my life as he walked home from work. Mark asked for my hand not long after, and I said yes without a second thought.
Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and all our money went towards treatment, University fees and trying to start some sort of life (finding a place to live and having food to eat). With work being so hard to find in our area and money being used to cover basic living, we can’t afford it on our own.
Now unfortunately our wedding budget is non-existent and our big day is set for the 7th July 2018. As we get closer to the time my heart breaks a little more, as I feel that my sickness caused us to have to live like this and to have taken away from my partners special day too.
We do not want to change our date because since being sick the two of us live by “if I am not here tomorrow, we need to make sure that today we have lived a wonderful life up till now, and that when you take your last breath you do not regret missing out on anything”. I believe that I was born to be a wife and a mother, and I would like to do that with my person. Truth is… there isn’t always a tomorrow.
