Pad a girl child is helping many girls on the community of south Africa with sanitary towels and bathing staff. This is because we have seen that many girls come from poor families who can’t afford to buy pads hence, they use old socks or tissues for their period, which is not hygienic at all costs. Some of these girls absent themselves from school because they have their period during school days, this makes them to be left behind in their academics because some are absent for 1 week. At This rate there is no way girls can succeed in their education because they are absent 5 days every month, which is not good because we want to end poverty in our community.
Many girls have lost self -esteem and self-confidence because of the lack of pads. They don’t feel comfortable being on their periods and at school. So, we want to buy menstrual cups which will be distributed to school children from the community of fine town.
