My name is Tahlia Crick, I live in Newlands East, Durban. I am hoping someone will be able to assist my grandmother. Her electricity has been cut for over two years already, because of a leak she was not aware of, which sent her electricity bill sky high. She has diabetes and has had amputations done on her hands and feet, she also has renal failure and attends dialysis 3 times a week.
The light bill is over R 45,000, and we will need extra money to install a prepaid electricity meter. Her pension money is very little, so she cannot afford to pay any of this. Unfortunately, I am unemployed, so I cannot assist her financially. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am so scared she will have to sell her house because the municipality is not interested in the circumstances, they just want their money.
