My mother was admitted to Glynwood life hospital on Thursday.
She has been bleeding profusely nonstop from her uterus which has enlarged x3 due to fibroids that’s also making her extremely sick. So, in short, she is bleeding to death outwardly.
The medical aid cancelled her membership instantly on Friday afternoon due to a non-disclosure from a year back upon joining of not telling them she had headaches. She is currently getting her 4th blood transfusion tonight.
We need funds as its extremely expensive and the hospital is requesting a lot of money, I have paid the deposit to the hospital for her to remain there to continue the treatment now as a private patient as any stress worsens the bleeding, the stress of moving her to a government hospital would be the end of her.
The medical aid did not even have any decency to just rather phone me in regards to the membership. They called her in her condition and it was devastating for her, the bleeding worsened after it. I am trying everything in my power to get funds to get the operation done (the doctor needs to remove the uterus with the fibroids – basically a hysterectomy) as soon as she is stable enough to get operated on. The fees are extremely high and i have depleted everything I had and just please need a break and a little help.
My mother is my lifeline and best friend. She is the kindest and most loving, selfless person I know, she taught me everything in this life except how to live without her.
Please help me get my mommy better and back home again.
