My good friend Quentin is a 34 year old school teacher from East London.
In July of 2003 he was diagnosed with Ankloysoing spondlitis(AS). In 2003, Medically there was not much that they could do. All they could assure him was that he could have an average lifestyle with the disease progressively getting worse.
In February 2015 Quentin was put into contact with a professor in Cape Town that could perform a surgery to correct his spinal issue but his medical aid at the time refused to pay for the surgery.
It took 3 years of struggling to build up the financial strength to afford an expensive yet more extensive medical aid. Even though he now has a better medical aid that will cover the surgery he still needs to sort out accommodation and hire a nurse to look after him during his 2 week recovery period plus any other issues that may arise.
Any contributions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
