I was born one of triplets, unfortunately, my siblings were too small and did not survive the birth. We were born at 6 months. I was born with deformed feet. When I was younger, I had a lot of feet operations. I did my matric in Hoërskool Delmas. After school I worked at Meadow feeds Delmas. Then I got married and fell pregnant. I experienced a lot of difficulties with my pregnancy and had to stop working due to health reasons.
I have been unemployed ever since. My Husband Phillip van Heerden, took out a loan to build a house on the farm. 9 October 2017 we were hit by a tornado in Eloff South Africa. We could not afford to have insurance on the house, due to me being unemployed and disabled.
My husband is earning a minimal salary. We cannot afford to rebuild our house on my husband’s salary. The farm belongs to my mother. My mother lost her house as well and cannot farm anymore, hence we losing our income from the farm. My father was murdered when I was still small. Our house was almost finished building when the tornado left us in pain.
We lost our home and all our belongings. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
