Worcester has the highest drug abuse/usage in South Africa. Children from the age of five are addicted to some kind of drugs. We are busy with outreaches in Worcester where we show videos and films about drug abuse. Many of the children’s parents cannot afford beds at the rehab centres.
There is a limited amount of beds available through the government. It cost between R8 000 to R12 000 per bed/opening at the rehab centres, for a five-week program. With this money, we will be able to help 10 children who desperately need help. This is a drop in a bucket, but with your help, we can change and save the lives of 10 children.
