My name is Kudakwashe Simbamba and I am the Cousin brother of the Farai Kadzimba who was murdered in Umlazi Durban on December 29th, 2017.
Farai was an amazing person who only cared about trying to help others and make the world better. He was extremely passionate about his magic tricks and making better of himself and others around him. My brother made a difference every single day, and I know that now more than ever because of the emotional support we have received from across the world.
His murder remains a mystery, and the family still has not been able to get the answers to the questions surrounding his death. One thing that no one tells you, and something we weren’t prepared to hear when we lost Farai. My family isn’t wealthy and because we lack the funds or resources to make sure we are doing what we can. That’s why, with a heavy heart, I have started this fund.
1) Pay for the costs and fees needed to release the body at the Medico-Legal Mortuary in Ethekwini Health District.
2) Allow his family to respectfully repatriate their beloved son back to Zimbabwe for burial.
These funds will be held, maintained and administered by the family to ensure full transparency for their use.
We ask for your help in enabling us to help repatriate, and find the closure we need to move forward in our grieving of our beloved brother and son.
