Hello Family, Friends and Strangers,
Our Champion, Ricky Sneddon, is fighting a new kind of battle. Those of you that know Ricky, he does not give up, he fights until he wins and that is exactly what he plans on doing with his newly diagnosed Cancer. In December 2016 he took on this battle and took ‘yet another’ first place against Cancer, beating it by leaps and bounds. In February 2017 he was declared free of Cancer and fit and healthy as he has always been.
We continued with our lives with much more love and appreciation. Last week, 13 October 2017, we sat in the oncologist rooms with much calm and positive energy, only to receive news that Ricky’s Melanoma has returned and settled itself in his lungs. Knowing the fight Ricky put up last time, the Cancer has come back with a vengeance, determined to win BUT Ricky is keeping that first place trophy!!! Ricky’s goal is to see his Son, Grayson (5 years old), grow, matriculate, graduate, marry, become a father. Whatever Grayson’s future may hold he wants and needs to be a part of that. The Love, Prayers and Support so far have been UNBELIEVABLE, we cannot thank you all enough and ask that you please stay on this journey / fight with us, we need you all!
Now we come to this part…… Ricky NEEDS medication (immune therapy) to help in his fight, there are no other options. The cost of this medication is in the region of R 1 million for 4 infusions. We are awaiting feedback from the Medical Aid to know what they MIGHT cover but have been given a minimum amount that will be required as a co-payment of R 300 000! If you are in a position to assist us with funding, every cent will count, we will be forever grateful. Family and friends, your Love, Prayers and Support are holding us up more than you will ever know!
