I am a young female from Pretoria and currently pregnant with my first born child. The father of my child is not in the picture nor is he willing to take part in the child’s life and his family is not interested as my child will be mixed race. I was living and working in Cape Town when I found out I was pregnant and working my last week at my former job as my contract had ended. I had told my mother and older sister about the news and advised me to move back home to Pretoria where my mother could take care of me.
Shortly after my arrival, my mother lost her job and now that the money that was left has run out, I’m very stressed out about the things I don’t have. I need to get clothing, diapers, formula, bottles and a hospital bag for my child as March is around the corner.
Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated and I plan on finding work soon after birth to help out at home.
