With the current energy crisis in South Africa many rural schools don’t have access to electricity. In order to alleviate this plight I propose to install solar panels in schools. This renewable energy project will supply schools with clean reliable energy supply and reduce the schools carbon footprint. The project involved has environmental, social and economic benefits of the communities involved. The excess power can be used for extra mural activities for the students and also help them with their ICT subjects in case of a power failure.
