Hi, my name is Daniella,
In April 2018 my middle child Jami-Ley was chosen to represent the Western Cape in the National Special Olympics Summer games in Gauteng. Now let me say this, Jami was never a very sporty child until we got her in at Agape school in Mitchells Plain. She became involved in anything and everything, she even started playing netball for a club which inspired me and her 2 sisters to go back to the game.
When Jami went to School of Skills in Mitchells plain, the same thing, involved in sports, going after her mother in Shotput and discus, netball the drilling team. AND THEN CAME THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS, we were proud and she went on to win a GOLD MEDAL in LONG JUMP, something she’s never done before. She got chosen to represent SOUTH AFRICA in the INTERNATIONAL SPECIAL OLYMPICS SUMMER GAMES IN ABU DHABI, in MARCH 2019. We are not allowed to raise funds for her as she is sponsored, but her stepdad, sister and I, would love to go support her on the biggest stage she’s ever been on in her life. It will also be the longest period she’s ever been away from home.
PLEASE, help us to be there to support her, let her look into the stands and see us there cheering her on, and maybe she’ll come home with another gold medal.
Your contributions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance for your generosity and support.
