I have been volunteering for a local non-profit organization called Food4Futures, as a social media manager, and I have been helping increasingly with raising funds needed to help those in my community who are in dire need. We provide food parcels, help people get their I.D.s and other things in order to help people get back on their feet.
My role has become increasingly full time, but I am not able to support myself while I pour myself into the work at Food4Futures, however, those donations that go to the organization are specifically for those who are destitute, and they are unable to pay a salary.
I am asking for just 50 people to commit to R100 per month, so that I can volunteer full time and help Food4Futuresmeet the need of the community.
