STREET VENDOR TO SHOP OWNER

R0 of R10 000 raised

I am a street vendor, I have been selling on the streets full time since I finished school, trying to make a living. I have an ambition of growing my business I have been trying to apply for business funding, but I get rejected because I don’t make a monthly revenue of R50 000+. I only make enough to meet my needs; therefore, I am unable to save enough funds to grow business. Being a street vendor has both advantages and disadvantages, advantages are that I am able to take care of myself and family with my hustle, disadvantages are bad weather conditions, during bad weather conditions I am unable to go work because I can’t operate when it’s raining or windy because my stock will get damaged and that means no income for those bad weather days.
But in a shop bad weather doesn’t affect business. Weather is my threat. Street trading is also challenging because some people don’t want to stand in the streets and buy because that’s below their level.
Being in a shop will honestly do good for my business because sales will increase and I won’t be affected by weather challenges, I will be able to go to work every day regardless of the bad weather. And I will be able to employ young women who are interested in the beauty and fashion industry.
