SUPPORT CONNIE AND LUKE JOOSTE – GOAL R 144 000

R7 231 of R144 000 raised

“Constance Jooste, loved and treasured by so many across the world and here in good ole RSA.

In the day of the Witwatersrand, Constance–or rather Connie, as we all lovingly call her–was living in Sunvalley Halfway House. Halfway House marked the midway point between the two bustling cities, Johannesburg and Pretoria and became the fastest growing city in the southern hemisphere, Midrand. This is where the story of Luke and Connie began. Connie is well known for her enormous Faith in God, her wide-open mind and open door for anyone in need.

For many years, this amazing woman welcomed into her home and care people who were desolate, who lost their path in life, and those that life spat out with nowhere to go. She served countless plates of food and gave hours of dedicated listening and caring for others. If you are one of the lucky ones, or maybe you are one of her old friends from her younger days, then you would remember the 50th birthday party we held for Connie at the Country Club near Brian and Gerald’s home.

Well, this caring, giving and saviour of so many people, now need us.

Her son, Luke, is a young man now; he came into Connie’s life at the age of three. She fell in love with him the first time she saw him, but when his parents gave him to her to raise and to keep, it was a match made in heaven. This little boy who lost his mother to HIV and his father to alcoholism, is the love of Connie’s life. He is her sun and moon and she is that for him. He had his education and formative years at Waldorf School which Connie made possible for him. But financial aspects of life in the new South Africa are hard and very unforgiving to elderly white pensioner women.

This amazing, giving, caring lady NOW needs our help. She has her SASSA income and with that, she has to feed, clothe and home herself and her son (who has scholarships for his Art and Drama studies), but for the rest, Connie is where the buck stops. The family that she has left is doing their best to help, but it is time for the ‘Connie admirers’ and ‘Connie saved ones’ and ‘Connie’s beloved friends’ to please contribute to this fund to help our loyal friend.

Give thanks to the Universe for putting Connie in our path when we needed her most, by donating to her account so she may be able to buy food and pay rent, the very things she offered for free to so many of us.

The amount we would like to reach is R144 000, which means for the next 12 months Connie and Luke will be able to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table…a mere drop in the expensive ocean of daily living. Any  contribution, small or big, will make a huge difference to Connie and Luke’s life. This is an urgent plight for Christmas 2019 on each of you reading this, to please give this wonderful lady and her truly talented young man some respect by giving with an open heart and hand.

This is a call to each and everyone that has ever been assisted by God, or the Universe, unexpectedly, through a kind soul such as Connie, that took you in or fed you or at least loved you no matter who you are or what you have done.

Please unite us in kindness. We have a unique opportunity to serve mankind, serve God, serve the Universe. Your financial assistance will give Connie and Luke self-worth and self-respect and their answered prayers.

Check out the article in the CapeTown Magazine, Human Factor (edition no 2, October 2019), where Connie tells her story of how she and Luke found each other.

You can make a difference.

Thank you most kindly for your ears and your hearts and your contribution.”
