U21 SEKHUKHUNE NETBALL TEAM – GOAL R120 000
A little bit of context…
These beautiful ladies from the U21 Sekhukhune Netball Team started playing together at the age of six in primary school and now have the opportunity to play in a unique tournament in Cape Town. The Sekhukhune Netball Association is a non-profit founded in 2014 to keep young ladies busy and avoiding teenage pregnancy.
But there’s a problem…
Over 60% of ladies from Ntwane Village in Dennilton, Limpopo fall pregnant by the tender age of 14 years. Still, through phenomenal initiatives like the Sekhukhune Netball Association, young ladies can abstain and dream of a better future.
The ladies attending this tournament are 18 years old in Grade 12. Most of their parents are unemployed, from a rural community, and cannot afford to fund the trip for the team tournament.
Here’s what we’re doing about it…
Sekhukhune Netball Association was started to help the ladies get sports scholarships into universities and colleges so that they can study further and alter the trajectory of their lives, and the lives of their families.
And why is this a great initiative to support?
By supporting the U21 Sekhukhune Netball Team, you are able to be a part of changing the lives of young ladies from Limpopo, South Africa and give some of them an opportunity to go to university or college.
You can join us…
By giving so that the ladies can attend the Spar NSA Tournament in Cape Town from the 6 December to the 11 December 2021.
