BASEBALL FOR THE WIN

Hi, I’m Davine Jacobs and humbly request your assistance to reach my target to represent South Africa as part of management for two senior women baseball teams early August in Shanghai.

In a male dominated sport, I have been playing baseball for a number of years which includes representation for our district in the senior ladies division and have coached on this level too. I’ve previously played for myself however in the last 2 years I have been playing to pave the way for our younger female players who deserve a chance at being selected to represent this country in future World Cups , Woman’s Pro League or chances at international studies because of baseball. This can only be achieved if South Africa get their ranking up. How do we get our ranking up you may wonder? Our national teams need to participate in sanctioned tournaments to increase our ranking and there is little to no funding and this is why I’m appealing for your help.

Currently players and coaches/managers need to pay their own way to represent our country.

I’m usually supporting financially for fundraisers for baseballers to cover costs to represent provincially or SA in our already small baseball community. As you can imagine, this is fundraising from the same pool! Therefore me sending this request is out of character to ask for assistance.
