I am Karina Fourie and I am from Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal.
In 2016 someone very special to us, my father-in-law was diagnosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) a condition that causes airflow blockage and breathing problems. He was put on permanent oxygen support 24/7. Yet he still stays positive throughout his situation and always smiles even when we knew that he is suffering so much. He was also told that he will need a Lung and Heart transplant and is currently on the waiting list.
He has had such a difficult time with this disease that has affected him and the family so much. He has been in and out of the hospital because of his oxygen levels dropping drastically and battling to breathe.
He has had mapping done to this Heart twice as well as it lost rhythm and to keep it regular, they have inserted a pacemaker. It is so sad to see him going through this knowing there is nothing we can do for him but support and pray for a miracle.
We are asking for help to catch up on medical bills, medicine and of course the day-to-day care for him.
