I hope you are all well. I just want to bring you up to date on my wife’s condition. My wife and I have been married for almost 8 years, after failing in a previous marriage. My wife lost her work at FNB in 2015 due to severe illness, suffering and surviving cancer twice, lost 5 internal organs, and has a monthly medical bill of R 18 000. Together with the loss of her work, she lost her medical scheme as well. I am the only person that gets an income, and it is a nightmare. With all this, my wife was diagnosed with TB in December 2021. In February 2022, she was unofficially diagnosed with fibromyalgia , a condition which is a degeneration of her bones. It is the worse condition that she has been in. Her condition is deteriorating at an alarming rate. Her legs have been affected, and she must be assisted physically to walk. Her pancreas has failed, her lung capacity is becoming worse. Her nervous system has been affected, her brain has been affected to the point that she has lost most of her short-term memory and thought process is not working properly. Her bladder has been affected and she has no control of it . I am posting this plea again since my wife still requires scans and tests .We have no funds to do this. I am her only caregiver, and the pressure is unbelievably immense, and I live every day praying for a miracle. There was a stage where the doctors could offer her 2 operations . The fact remains that she can have these operations, but her latest diagnosis places her in a position where we need extra scans and tests to determine how far the 2 diseases are at this stage. We have been forced to move in temporarily with my in laws, so that my wife will have assistance and aid from her mother while I am at work. I have applied to work 2 days from home, to be there for her. I would like to request if there is any way that somebody may help, please? The situation has become so extreme, that I have also requested help via various fund-raising institutions with no luck at all. My hope in God has increased during this period, but I am nearing a breaking point, which my wife does not deserve.
