I’m a 31-year-old mom of three battling to make ends meet after losing my job and recently our family home which has resulted from the pandemic. Two of my three kids are currently at school which I cannot afford to pay and seeking financial help has taken its toll. Over the last few months, we have moved twice which has created uncertainty for them making it extremely difficult to cope with. Iv recently started selling some home baked goods which thankfully keeps us going but is barely covering all my expenses with most of it being for my children’s fees, at times just enough to buy food many a times turning to charity platforms for help. Due to lack of resources and not being able to afford buying the goods needed sometimes leaves me unable to be consistent with making goods to sell, leaving me with no choice but to borrow putting me in debt. I’m currently looking at continuing by expanding into a small business selling food and home baked goods in order to get back up on my feet again. I need to build up the capital to buy the necessities to start trading on a full-time basis. Another one of my aims is also to provide some employment for others who too are struggling to financially get by. I am pleading with the public to please assist in helping me and find stability again, so I can provide for my kids while making sure their education and other needs are seen too.
